Rationale of the conference

San Pedro College in Davao City, Philippines, in collaboration with the City Government of Davao Office of the Vice Mayor, Asia Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN), Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), Quipper Philippines, C & E Bookshop, and CE-Logic, Inc. is continuing its commitment of providing meaningful conversations with the fourth installment of Madayaw Conference on 25-26 August 2021, 8:00 – 5:00 PM via the Zoom Teleconferencing platform. With the theme:

“Conversations in the Post-Covid Era: Lessons Learned and the Way Forward”,

the organizers invited top academicians, local and international industry leaders, scientists, and policy-makers as speakers to share their experiences, expertise, insights, and thoughts as we arise from this global crisis.

Since 2018, the Madayaw Conference has served as an effective platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, innovation breakthroughs generated through research and has earned a good impression from the participants and stakeholders as evidenced by their repeated patronage to the conference. This year, we are leveraging the conference to highlight how internationalization, linkages, community engagement, innovation and research are intertwined.

Madayaw is the name of our Multidisciplinary Refereed Journal, a Dabawnon word which means anything good, beautiful, valuable, and productive – a familiar feeling when one accomplishes a research work. This virtual research conference will provide a unique transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators. It is also an opportunity for them to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges encountered, and the intelligent solutions adopted in their fields in the light of the current health crisis.
